PRIVACY AND COOKIES POLICY

Last updated: 22 August 2026.

1. Data controller

  • Controller: Leathermen Club of Spain (LMCS).
  • Address: Calle Zurbano, no. 41, first floor, Madrid.
  • Contact: [email protected]

2. Data processed and purposes

  • Applications and membership: information you provide through Typeform to review and manage your application, maintain the membership relationship and send communications inherent to that relationship.
  • Email enquiries: your name, email address and any content you voluntarily include in your message.
  • Donations and receipts: transaction data communicated by the payment provider and, if you request a receipt, the tax details you send by email.
  • Security and operation: minimum technical connection data that the hosting, distribution network or technical providers may log to deliver and protect the website.

Please do not send unnecessary information or special-category personal data by email.

3. Legal basis

  • Your application and the steps required to process it, as well as performance of the membership relationship once you become a member.
  • Your consent when you send an enquiry, allow optional external services or agree to communications that are not essential to the membership relationship.
  • Compliance with legal, accounting and tax obligations related to donations.
  • LMCS's legitimate interest in maintaining the website's security and technical operation, using data limited to that purpose.

4. Providers and recipients

To provide the requested services, LMCS may use hosting and email providers, as well as Typeform for membership applications and PayPal or Stripe for donations.

When you access an external service, that provider may process data under its own terms and make international transfers using the safeguards described in its policy. Data will also be disclosed where required by law.

5. Retention

  • Applications are kept while they are being processed and, if unsuccessful, for the time needed to address potential liabilities.
  • Member data is kept for the duration of the membership relationship and afterwards for applicable statutory periods.
  • Email messages are kept for the time needed to respond and address potential liabilities.
  • Donation records are kept for the applicable accounting, tax or statutory periods.

6. Your rights

Where applicable, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and restriction, and withdraw consent without retroactive effect, by emailing [email protected]. We may request only the information strictly necessary to verify your identity.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

7. Cookies, local storage and external services

On your first visit, you may accept, reject or configure optional services. All three options let you continue browsing. You can change your choice at any time through , also available in the footer of every page.

  • LMCS privacy preference: the lmcs_consent_v2 record is kept in browser local storage for up to six months. It is necessary to remember your separate choice for each provider and is not used to analyse your activity.
  • Typeform: optional service used to display the membership application form. It only loads after you allow it and may use first- or third-party cookies. See its cookie policy.
  • PayPal and Stripe: optional services used to process donations. They only load after you allow them and may use cookies or similar technologies for operation, security, fraud prevention, analytics or other purposes described in the policies of PayPal and Stripe.

The website also downloads technical resources from Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr to display fonts, icons or carousels. LMCS does not use them to create profiles, although their servers may receive technical connection data such as your IP address. Blocking these resources in your browser may affect the visual presentation.

If you withdraw permission after an external service has loaded, the page reloads to prevent further connections. You can remove cookies or storage already created using your browser settings or the provider's own tools.

8. Modifications

LMCS may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or provider changes. If the purposes or optional third parties change, a new choice will be requested where appropriate.
